[Request Name]
Add a URL for changing state of Acquired and Watched boxes for individual episodes
[Description]
If I hit a certain URL, I can change the context of the Acquired and/or watched box for my login. That way I can dynamically change my unquired RSS feed as new things are downloaded.
[Target URL]
something like:
http://www.myepisodes.com/updater.php?episode=100028246&acquired=true&watched=true&uid=mudboy&pwdmd5=7676987689768769a6s7976986a7898769
not sure on the back end if you have keys for individual episodes, but I would think you must. You'd have to expose that, and put it rss.php output, so other apps would know which episodes to update, but I don't think it would be terribly hard.

So far, with myepisodes.com > PADS > and Hellanzb I've got a pretty good thing, but this would make my interaction almost zero...

I use this set up and reducing the interaction would be good. |

I heartily concur (infact I was just checking the existing req's before making this one myself). Being able to set a show as acquired programmatically would be great for both downloaded episodes and for matching dvd database exports. |

So, I was a little unhappy with how PADS did things so I decided to go ahead and write my own downloader. It's been working great for about a month, but didn't do anything that PADS couldn't already do, so I held off on releasing it.
After reading your comment earlier this week, I decided to go ahead and try implementing auto-marking things as acquired. I got it working great and so I'm now going to release my program. It's called RUTV (it stands for something, but I seem to have forgotten between then and now), you can pick it up here: http://www.xmission.com/~rawb/rutv/ |

I am not sure if you have seen hellavcr (http://code.google.com/p/hellavcr/) but I am about to finish a program that uses myepisodes.com with the interface of hellavcr. Basically, there is a web front-end that lets you sync and see what shows are on your myepisodes.com list. It lets you specify format/sources when searching newzbin for episodes. Then there is a backend that you run manually that will get a list of shows you need to download, search newzbin for them, download them (or send them to hellanzb or sabnzbd) and then update the acquired status of the episode on myepisode.com.
Since you did something similar I thought you might be interested in checking it out when I am done. I can send you screen shots if you PM me with your e-mail address, if you want. |
