I have been using this for a few months but have noticed that it has started missing some shows from the Google Calendar.
For instance i have 4 shows today if i look on the website, also shows all 4 on the iGoogle homepage, but the Google calendar only shows 3 of them.
Any ideas ???? |

which show do you have problems with?
Or is it several?
which ical feed do you use ?
and if you have changed ical feed, have you removed the old? |

Firstly, thanks for this really useful tool.
I was having the same problems with Californication for this week and next week's episodes.
Using a different timezone (Australia/Sydney), I was missing episodes in the calendar (but when looking at the raw text when following the link, I could see them :S).
Changing the tz to Europe/Oslo fixed it. Seems strange, but looks like its working now.
EDIT: Actually, changing the cn= to a different, new name seems to have fixed it. The different URL with the tz change probably wasn't the cause, but rather because I was using new parameters. Maybe something was getting cached somewhere. |

|
|
I have the ICLA feed working in my gmail and it is showing my list of shows however every show is just added as an ALL DAY EVENT. Is it supposed to work this way? I would think that it would add them in their time slot. Maybe I have done something wrong? Please help |

try adding &ad=1 in the url.
This will add the timestamps for the show and cancel allday events.
All options are in the first post |

One assumes this works in much the same way as other scripts that fetch and parse data into a readable format for calender applications?
Any info on how much bandwidth it uses when self hosted? |

The script just fetches and parses the info into xml feed and rss/ical feed.
im little unsure about bandwidth but my stats says:
File: /me2ic/feed.php
shown: 6262
total data : 342.92 KB
File: /me2ic/ical.php
shown: 597
total data : 7.57 KB
I dont know if it will help you at all but... |

More to the point I format the url as explained. With your domain at the start it works fine, however when I point it to where the script is hosted on my server it fails to parse it?
It seems also, that it fails to parse some links you have given people within the thread.
The common error comes up as line 7 in /lib/me2ic.php |

i've tried to replicate the error but i can't seem to get it.
i've also placed a copy from the zip file onto another server and this works fine.

All I get again is this
Quote: | Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'Exception' with message 'String could not be parsed as XML' in /var/www/web/wno486872/jeanettenyberg.net/me2ic/lib/Me2ic.php:7 Stack trace: #0 /var/www/web/wno486872/jeanettenyberg.net/me2ic/lib/Me2ic.php(7): SimpleXMLElement->__construct('') #1 /var/www/web/wno486872/jeanettenyberg.net/me2ic/ical.php(5): me2ic->get_feed('http://myepisod...') #2 {main} thrown in /var/www/web/wno486872/jeanettenyberg.net/me2ic/lib/Me2ic.php on line 7 |

your problem is that you dont feed the script your username and password.
you can use :
http://www.mndesign.net/me2ic/ical.php?uid=USERNAME&tz=Europe/Oslo&pwdmd5=YOUR_PWDMD5
where you replace USERNAME with your username and YOUR_PWDMD5 with your md5 password.
You'll find this in myepisode control panel.
The other way is to edit config.php line 9:
define('ME2IC_FEED','http://myepisodes.com/rss.php?feed=mylist&');
with
define('ME2IC_FEED','http://myepisodes.com/rss.php?feed=mylist&uid=USERNAME&pwdmd5=YOUR_PWDMD5');
if you have more problems i can help you set it up on your server. |

Yes that link on your server works without issue.
The problem lies with uploading the script to my own server and trying to run it there.
Using the url format fails as does using the edited config file, both times using my UID and MD5 |

Have you edited php.ini file?

Have you tried in php.ini

Yeah those are both now enabled, leaving me with the SimpleXML parsing error only. This is really rather odd. |

try redefining the config.php line to
define('ME2IC_FEED','http://myepisodes.com/rss.php?feed=mylist&');
and use
http://www.mndesign.net/me2ic/ical.php?uid=USERNAME&tz=Europe/Oslo&pwdmd5=YOUR_PWDMD5
i've checked your script and it failes on line 7 because the username and password.
i'll make an update to this version with preset username and password.
i'll also enable a log function in the next update.
I think this will be ready either today or tomorrow. |

But format the URL with my domain? Otherwise it seems pointless hosting it myself and using your URL |
