|

Hi,
I've just created a Gadget for the Google Personalised Homepage. This gadget allows you to add your MyEpisodes.com RSS feed to your personalised homepage.
Now, the personalised homepage already supports RSS feeds, but, once you add a feed it's usually searchable, so anyone could add your RSS feed to their homepage and know what episodes you were looking for, and steal your MD5 password. Plus you have to be tech-savy enough to understand the information on the RSS page to figure out what url to add.
Using this gadget, you don't expose your MD5 checksum, or your feed to anyone else, and can easily configure exactly what content appears in your feed.
This is the first public version of the gadget, so I'd appreciate any feedback. You can add it to your google homepage by clicking the button below:
Screenshot:
The gadget is 100% implemented in it's XML specification (here) and all the RSS functionality is handled by Google's Gadget Javascript API's so there is no risk of exposing your data to my server.
I hope this is of use to someone!
Cheers,
Mike |

I would do, but their API and documentation is terrible.
Plus you have to fully host the gadget, and maintain state yourself. Which is really totally insane. It'd mean you had to re-configure your gadgets on each machine you use netvibes, if you do anything beyond the very basics.
Insane, insane, insane... |

What does "MD5 access key" mean? Sorry, I'm new, and I can't get the google interface to work. |

Never mind, I found it in the control panel.
This looks cool. And the reason I found myepisodes was because I was setting up my google page, and this was one of the options. |

Is there a chance to do this with the google calendar? I've read the post about it, but I don'y have a php web server.
Thanks a lot!! |
